Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is an American actor and producer who has been recognized for her exceptional performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Piano, as well as The Incredibles. The film Piano has won several awards for her including an Oscar. She began her career acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. Since her childhood, she has been passionate in the field of acting. She portrayed Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. Following a bout of mumps, she went deaf in one of the sides of her ear. But, it was not enough to stop her desire to pursue a career as an actress. While in college, she studied drama after which she relocated to New York City with her plans in mind. Hunter was stuck in the lift of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They collaborated to create Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. Her first film role came when she moved in Los Angeles. In the years since, she has been in numerous films and television series and movies over a career spanning more than three decades. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
